Our Sick Week

She really is having fun!
My poor sick girl:(
Maya modeling my 1st baby blanket attempt.
The Great White Hunter......
Can this baby get any cooler?

This week seems to have went on and on:) Torrie was out of school for 3 days last week for teacher workdays and 2 of those days she spent sick. She did a lot of laying around on the couch. We did get to go see a movie last Friday night. It was nice to have some girl time! She went ice skating Saturday with a group from church. I on the other had have also gotten sick and Maya has a cold herself....so as you can imagine it has not been fun and games at the Dalgo house.

On the bright side, Torrie started her chess club which she is really enjoying and Maya has started to splash around in the bathtub with her Elvis rubber duck that Ronnie's stepmom got her, she works at Graceland (how cool is that?). Ronnie continues to practice his mad bow skills in the hopes of one day going hunting...I can't believe it either! I continue my quest of finding a job....Will keep everyone posted on that. I also made a baby blanket for a friend of mine that had a baby on Friday! Not too bad for my first try! So if anyone wants a baby blanket..call me:)

Until next time...We love you all!

Mayas Week Review....

1st sippy cup try
Future Model??

Maya has graduated to a high chair and loves to sit in the kitchen with me while I am making dinner and keep me company. We have been working on drinking out of a cup..she does not like juice at all so we have went to just water. She has now started to crawl and is getting herself into some tight places looking for adventure. She keeps me on the move getting her out of those tight places. It is truly amazing to watch her grow...I think God every moment I look at my two girls! What a blessing!

I would also like to ask that you all pray for our good friend Jesse as he travels to Africa to surf. Hey..someone has to do it:) Also continue praying for Whitney and Jesse's friend Trish and her husband and new baby!http://www.cfhusband.blogspot.com/

Love you all,

Torrie's week...

Torrie did an amazing job in her Geobee. Although she didn't win I am very proud of her for the courage it took! The questions were extremely hard ( I didn't know but a couple answers) but all the kids did a great job. She now wants to try to make herself a dress. We got the pattern so we will keep you updated on the progress.

Beach Fun

Today was a nice 68 degrees so I decided that Maya and I needed to get out of the house and get some fresh air...a little cabin fever was setting in. We went to the beach and walked and talked and sang and were stalked by a sea gull who was lookin for some Cheerios! We had a blast. Torrie has joined to chess club and will be in a Geobee this Friday. It is like a spelling bee but with locations. Torrie and 10 other students were the only ones in her whole school to make it to this round. So call and give her some encouragement! We are very proud of her accomplishments this year at school and we are sure that there will be more to come.

I love you all,

Kym

Friday Night Fun

Friday night Ron, me and the girls decided it was just cold enough for smores (like it really has to be cold for smores). We got all our stuff together, bundled up and headed for the back yard. We have a little fire pit which we like to use from time to time. Maya was over being so bundled up in about 20 min. but we still had fun. Doesn't Maya remind you of Ralphies brother from A Christmas Story?

The Babys 1st Christmas

The girls at Meadow
The girls in Va
My dad and the girls
This Christmas stuff is hard work
Torrie in Raleigh

We had a great time with the baby at Christmas! Her being only 6 months old I don't think she really cared but boy did we enjoy watching her at my parents house and Ronnie's parents house. We took her and Torrie to Meadow NC to see the big man..Santa. We rode the train and looked at all the Christmas lights. Torrie did a solo in Silent Night, in our church's children's Christmas program and she also did a solo in her school's chorus performance! She was awesome!

Our First Blog

The reason I wanted to put this up was so all of our family and friends who don't live near us could share in our weekly lives. I miss you all so much! I will try to update often, but I am dealing with a 6 month old and a pre-teen girl....pray for me:)
